Mohan Seshadri

Mohan Seshadri

Executive Director

Mohan Seshadri (they/he) is the Executive Director of the Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance. He is currently serving as the co-chair of the Asian American Power Network. Previously, Mohan managed electoral and organizing programs for Planned Parenthood across Central and Eastern Pennsylvania. From 2019-2020, they served as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs. He co-founded multiple community and campus organizing programs across Pennsylvania including the Philadelphia chapter of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, the Lehigh Valley chapter of DSA, and the AAPI PA Power Caucus. In 2018, they were honored to receive Ressurected Life Community Church’s Urban Angel Award. In 2021, they were featured on the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics & Public Affairs 40 under 40 list.

Kim Huynh (she/her) is the Coalition & Training Director of the Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance.

Christine O’Donovan-Zavada

Field Director

Christine O’Donovan-Zavada (she/her) has been a part of organizing work in Pennsylvania for almost half a decade. She started in the world of reproductive rights, first as an Organizer and then as Regional Field Director for Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates. She comes to this work as a committed advocate for organizing in communities traditionally left out of professional politics, first rural communities, and now API communities. She is proud and humbled to join API PA as Field Director and join the fight for social and economic justice at the ballot box.

Sarah Cho

Sarah Cho

Director of Finance & Administration

Sarah Cho (she/her) is the Director of Finance & Administration for the Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance. She has nearly ten years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis & planning, grants administration, and resource management. Previously, a former IP attorney turned non-profit administrator focused on academic finance in the Higher Education Industry. Sarah is a native Chicagoan and long-time Philadelphia transplant. She holds a MBA from Temple University, JD from University of New Hampshire School of Law, and BA in Political Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Wolfe Tsuboi

Administrative Coordinator

Wolfe Tsuboi (he/him) is the Administrative Coordinator for API PA. Wolfe was raised in Sacramento, CA. He is proudly both Gosei (fifth-generation Japanese American) and Black. After moving to Washington, D.C. for college, Wolfe took to organizing and began mobilizing his fellow students against the Trump administration with protests and direct actions. When he moved to Philadelphia, he  continued his advocacy for workers rights, racial justice, and transgender rights.

Kelsey Jirikils

Deputy Field Manager

Kelsey Jirikils (she / her) is a Deputy Field Manager for API PA. After graduating from UCLA with an interdisciplinary degree in biology and social justice, she became a Teach for America (TFA) Corps Member in Memphis, TN to learn about and advocate for education equity. After TFA, Kelsey completed a fellowship with Stand for Children where she developed programs to make local government more accessible and took part in community organizing aimed at police reform. Now in Philadelphia, Kelsey is eager to keep learning and advocating for more equitable systems. 

James

James Delos Reyes

Deputy Field Manager

James Delos Reyes (he/his) is a Field Manager for API PA. Prior to  API PA, he held a leadership role in the college focused YDMS and worked for the Democratic Party of Mississippi, organizing for statewide elections for Governor, US Congress, and local elections as well. He helped organize protests against new, environmentally disastrous powerplants and civil engineering projects as well, all while working towards making progressive inroads in the most conservative state in the nation. Moving to Philadelphia, James is excited to transfer his experience in statewide politics to advocating for the API community in Pennsylvania.

Jenny Zhang

Asian American Lead Organizer – Philadelphia

Jenny Zhang (she/her) is an Asian American Field Organizer in Philadelphia with API PA. Prior to API PA, she was a research assistant focused on education and public health initiatives. Jenny previously served the API community through her work at Asian Americans United, supporting their youth programming and civic engagement initiatives. Having grown up in the Philadelphia area, she is excited to work with API PA to build up and empower the community that made her who she is today.

Asian American Field Organizer – Chester/Delaware county

Tina Tran (she/her) is an Asian American Field Organizer in Chester and Delaware county with API PA. After graduating from the University of Iowa with a degree in Social Justice at the height of the pandemic, she took on work in childcare and transcription. Now with API PA, Tina is ready to bring back her passion for organizing work in Pennsylvania. She is excited to engage and empower the API community here, as well as become a part of it.

Aminah Arshad (she/her) is an Asian American field organizer with API PA. 

Sidharth Nair

Asian American Field Organizer – Bucks County

Sidharth Nair (he/him) is an Asian American Field Organizer in Bucks County with API PA. With an academic background in History and Political Science and having previously worked in political campaigning since the 2016 general and PA senate races, Sidharth got into political organizing in the 2020 general election as a Field Representative with the Progressive Turnout Project. Reflecting on his time afterward as a Senior Organizer with For Our Future and a Regional Field Director at PA Stands Up, Sidharth was proud to mobilize folks around a shared passion for racial justice, economic fairness, LGBTQ+ rights, and education, healthcare, and immigration reform. Sidharth is excited to join and further API’s PA unique work of organizing and building power in our API communities through cultural competency and language access.

Katrina Eames

Digital Manager

Katrina Eames (they/them) is the digital manager for API PA. They moved to Pittsburgh, PA as a child and immediately fell in love with the city and the state. After graduating from Point Park University, Katrina worked as an organizer for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s & Secretary Julián Castro’s presidential campaigns in order to advance gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and racial justice. After working on campaigns, Katrina moved back to Pennsylvania to use their expertise to build power with their community.

Caitlin Flores

Caitlin Flores

Digital Organizer

Caitlin Flores (she/they) is the digital organizer for API PA. While studying Graphic Design at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Caitlin began her advocacy journey by participating in the Philadelphia chapter of the international youth organization Anakbayan. She then went on to work as a phonebanker for API PA, where became she became more passionate about fighting for the rights of Asian Americans in Pennsylvania. At the same time, Caitlin completed a digital organizing fellowship for API PA where she was able to learn about online campaigns, social media outreach and create graphics to mobilize AAPI folk. She is excited to continue her work with the organization and learn how to continue building power!
